Digital Strategy & Facebook Ads Specialist – Contract

You’re a self-motivated, problem-solving Social Media Strategist and Facebook Ads Specialist. You have a love for Paid Social and Display Advertising. You have a love of data, analytics, but also have wicked skills in content marketing, copywriting and love creating great social content and ad creative. You are a hard worker and are results-driven. You have an in-depth understanding of the Facebook Ads Platform and Business Manager and you’re passionate about working with authentic brands and supporting them to grow their business.
You’re motivated to establish your own path and have a desire to further develop your skillset and enjoy collaborating as part of a team.
About the role
Society State is growing, and we’re on the lookout for a Digital Strategy & Facebook Ads Specialist to support our existing retainer Paid Social & Social Media Management clients, and service our growing portfolio in Social Advertising (Facebook & Instagram) Advertising. The role will see you provide support to the company owner, Alison servicing our clients. This is a contract position starting with approximately 2x day per week remote position.
The role entails:
  • Management of Facebook & Instagram Ad Clients: Campaign Strategy, Set Up and ongoing management, optimisation & reporting
  • Management of Social Media Management clients – content creation & scheduling
  • Development of client’s Social Advertising Strategy including in-depth research for clients past results, marketing strategy, audience insights etc.
  • Support for Ad-hoc Project-Based work: Business Manager Set-Ups & Account Auditing (Facebook & Instagram Ads Audits)
  • Oversee monthly and weekly client reporting – support will be provided from a junior team member


  • Minimum 2 years experience in digital and social marketing with demonstrable success
  • Experience in social media advertising (Facebook & Instagram Advertising) is preferred with the ability to manage, test, scale and optimise campaigns
  • Graphic Design/ video editing experience favourable
  • Impeccable copywriting ability and excellent communication skills
  • Proficient using Social Media Management programs, tools & applications
  • Strong knowledge of social media marketing techniques and the ability to monitor, analyse and test campaigns for ultimate optimisation
  • Clear communicator & ability to manage workflow and work within a team
  • You’re a pro-active self-starter
  • Highly organised and high attention to detail
  • Previous client management experience
